The seeded cassettes are transported to the greenhouse, where they are placed on stands at least 15 cm high to provide "air pruning" of the roots and ventilation of the lower parts of the cassettes. Air confinement limits the growth of root systems and they do not extend beyond the cells.
The stands can be made of black metal and covered with black paint, but more often used galvanized, as they are durable and less prone to corrosion. These stands are used both in greenhouses and in growing fields. The range includes stands for 6, 15 and 18 cassettes.
